AGES/GRADES: Ages 6-22nd birthday.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Services are offered in individual sessions and/or groups. Direct services include counseling, speech and language therapy, music therapy, OT, adaptive PE, therapeutic recreation and social skills instruction.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Applied behavioral analysis, CBT, and expressive therapy. Psychopharmacology overseen by psychiatrists with specialization in serving children, teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities.

POPULATION SERVED: Autism spectrum disorder, mild to severe intellectual disability, and dual diagnosis – intellectual disability and mental/behavioral health diagnoses.

COMMENTS: The Guild School accepts both day and residential students. The school is open 234 days a year and residential services are provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The individualized student curriculum spans a variety of academic subjects and includes prevocational and vocational skill development. Classrooms are equipped with assistive technology to enhance learning. As well as an Individualized Education Plan, each student has an individualized behavior support plan that reinforces functional and socially appropriate behaviors while reducing target behaviors. The Guild’s eight residences are family-style homes located in neighborhoods near the school.
