AGES/GRADES: Coed, college preparatory school serving ages 13-19, in grades 8-12 & PG. Optional Summer Program focuses on experiential learning and runs the month of July. A transition to college program, Franklin Learning Institute, serves young adults.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: School employs: Clinical Director, Dr. Rebecca Hays, 5 Masters’ or Ph.D. level counselors, two registered nurses, 5 learning specialists, 5 residential deans, a speech and language pathologist and occupational therapist; in addition an adolescent psychiatrist is on campus twice per week.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Based on a traditional independent school model with integrated related services. “In the milieu,” best describes therapeutic interventions. While 1:1 counseling is optional, students interact with counselors several times throughout the day and evening both in and outside of the classroom.
POPULATION SERVED: Bright students with unique learning styles including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder – Level 1, Anxiety, Social Communication Disorder, or a Nonverbal Learning Disability. Preeminent placement for neurodiverse students.
