ADMISSIONS: Arthur Mercurio, M.A., Director of Residential Services, 401-432-1189.
AGES/GRADES: Males and females ages 8-21 in 7 day per week, 12 month per year program. Four community based residences with 8 residents per home. All residents are placed in community based educational
programs as determined by the IEP process.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: On site occupational, speech, individual, and group therapies including group CBT, group social skills and life skills training available to all residents. Supportive counseling and parent skills training available to all families on an as needed basis. Pharmacotherapy is available through the Bradley Hospital outpatient clinic or community-based child psychiatry practices.
RECREATIONAL SERVICES: All residents participate in an array of community based recreational and social activities including full participation in Special Olympics of RI.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Positive reinforcement approaches designed to facilitate the development of adaptive life skills, adaptive classroom behavior and improved academic achievement, as well as general pro-social behavior.
POPULATION SERVED: Emotional and behavioral problems who also present with autism, Asperger’s, PDD-NOS, mild-moderate intellectual disability, and severe-profound intellectual disability.
LICENSURE: RI Dept. of Children, Youth and Families, RI Dept. of Education, and MA Dept. of Education.
COMMENTS: Accreditation by The Joint Commission. Affiliation with Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School.
