ADMISSIONS: Yolanda Cloete, Campus Director, 508-734-1901.

AGES/GRADES: Residences: males and females ages 5-13; males ages 13-17; School: males and females ages 5-18.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Individual, group and family therapy on site. In addition, family therapy is available on a case-by-case basis at the family’s home. Medication evaluations, psychiatric services and a structured 24-hour therapeutic milieu. Psychoeducational groups including substance prevention and abuse, social skills and anger management.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Family-driven and youth-guided services including Residential/Educational Placements, Behavioral Treatment Residence and Respite Care. Services are strength based, culturally and linguistically competent, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Trauma Informed Care, CBT, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Emphasis is on experiential learning and practicing skills for functioning in the community.

COMMENTS: The campus comprises four residences (two for co-ed latency-aged children and two for adolescent males), with total capacity of 46 beds. Year-round outdoor education/adventure program provides opportunities for students to participate in challenging activities that emphasize teamwork and help to develop self-esteem.

Southeast Academy

AGES/GRADES: Residences: males ages 8-18 and females ages 10-18; School: males and females ages 7-18.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Individual, family and group therapy on site; milieu therapy; psychopharmacological, neuropsychological and educational evaluations. Areas of specialty include trauma recovery, sexually reactive behaviors, Asperger’s and reactive attachment disorders.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Treatment is relationally-based and uses aspects of family systems theory and behavior modification. Services are strength based, culturally and linguistically competent, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Trauma Informed Care, CBT, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Emphasis is on experiential learning and practicing skills for functioning in the community. Services include Residential/Educational Placements, Behavioral Treatment Residence, and Respite Care.
