AGES/GRADES: Males ages 7-18 in ungraded special education day and residential programs.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Strength-based individual, group and family therapy on site, as well as in-home therapy and therapeutic mentoring services. Trauma-informed continuum of care includes: hospital diversion, respite/family stabilization, diagnostic assessment, intensive residential care, group home, behavioral treatment residence and step-down services. Specialize in comprehensive assessment and intensive treatment for boys with fire-setting and/or sexualized behaviors. Agency-wide sensory integration programming.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Utilize the CARE model out of Cornell University; 6 core principles drive treatment to include trauma informed, family centered, relationship based, ecologically oriented, competence centered, and developmentally focused. Also offer OT, and expressive art therapy.
POPULATION SERVED: Emotional and behavioral disorders and emotionally based learning disorders. Clients primarily present with PTSD, depression, ADHD, anxiety, ODD, attachment disorders, sensory processing disorder, sexual abuse, and fire-setting behaviors. Intellectual functioning is across the average range.
