A public psychiatric hospital.

ADMISSION: Admission is through Local Mental Health Authorities, emergency rooms; other facilities and referral sources.

GENERAL PSYCHIATRY: 18 years and older for treatment in a 209-bed adult psychiatric service offering services such as: intensive treatment, TBI/ABI, neurorehabilitation, geriatrics, and psychosocial rehabilitation. A 17-bed young adult services program is also offered.

ADDICTIONS: Have 152 beds across campuses in Middletown and Hartford providing acute and inpatient levels of care for individuals18 years and older. Includes a 20-bed detox service for patients 18 years and older; rehabilitation services with 90-beds; a 21-bed acute care service and a 21-bed rehabilitation service in Hartford.

FORENSIC SERVICES: 18 years and older for treatment in a 232 bed maximum and enhanced security service.

INSURANCE: Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances (when in network and admission is authorized by guarantor). Mandate of hospital is to provide quality care to indigent uninsured.
