The end of an era

New England Psychologist

This is the last print issue of New England Psychologist.

It’s been a long time coming. Since purchasing New England Psychologist at the end of 2017, I’ve struggled with the same issues every print publication has faced in the past decade: rising printing and mailing costs, and declining revenue from sponsors who no longer want to advertise in print.

We’ve tried various strategies to increase interest in our 31-year-old publication. We changed formats, making it easier to read and more in keeping with current expectations for a print publication. We lowered our subscription costs. We kept advertising rates the same, despite our increased publishing and mailing costs, hoping to entice advertisers back to the table.

Sadly, none of those efforts made a difference.

To ensure the continued survival of the publication, we’re moving to a digital-only publication. This lets us continue publishing articles of interest to the region’s psychologists, but also significantly decreases our costs.

We’re going to be publishing a slew of new articles and updated columns every single month, so you’ll no longer have to wait on the news, research updates, and clinical tips you’ve asked us for.

The new version of New England Psychologist, however, won’t be able to exist long without your support. We need you, the amazing psychologist reading this column, to help support our independent journalism in your community by becoming a paid subscriber today.

A one-year subscription to our publication is only $18.95/year. Subscribe today and we’ll give it to you for just $15.95 – no coupon code needed! Just visit this link to get this fantastic offer:
